These little Tulip Dolls were inspired by a bunch of beautiful tulips I bought at our local River Traders Market. They were brightly colored buds that opened over a couple of days and lasted in a vase for over two weeks, during which time I designed these little bud girls each with their own little bug to hug! They have bulb shaped hats with wool fibers as roots coming out of them and their dresses are shaped in at the hem to represent the flower. I gave my dolls scraggy white hair, striped stockings and cute wee shoes
